What makes this session different?About this ritual: the idea, the guidance and the music
Sauna, mizuburo and a full open-air rest.
- The idea
- One full cycle: sauna, cold bath and a long rest, ideally in the open air (gaikiyoku).
- Origin
- Contemporary Japanese sauna practice, as described by the Japan National Tourism Organization.
- Voice
- Your own pace in the heat and the cold, then plenty of room to rest.
Safety & practicalPreparation, your phone and the safety guide
You need a sauna, a cold bath (mizuburo) and somewhere to rest outdoors. Wash first and rinse before the cold bath.
- Your phone stays outside the heat. For sound, put a speaker by the door.
- Water only if it feels right. Come out whenever you want: the rest begins by itself, or tap “I’m out”.
- Pause, skip or end at any time.
